Indian Valley Academy

Greetings Family and Friends,

Welcome back to school, hopefully everyone had a restful spring break. We’re in the home stretch with summer a mere (8) weeks away.  Things at the school continue to move in a good direction. For those of you who missed the parents meeting before break, I’ve added the agenda and presentation to the "Parents Meetings" page located to the left. Overall, plans for next year continue on schedule with the county recently approving the special use permit for our new facility in Taylorsville. If you have question, comments, or concerns please feel free to stop by the office. Currently, our priority is to address transportation concerns. Pam will be/is calling around to survey households. If you don’t receive a call and you need transportation please call the school so we can secure an appropriate vehicle.

In other news, Team Uganda has returned. Their time there was well spent. They were able to successfully implement a dairy goat program with their partner school, meet with members from Uganda’s parliament and make lifetime connections. The trip gained some international attention and the team has been offered $5,000 to make a video of their trip for Rotary International to be presented at their international conference later this year.

The Drama Class is now in the final stages of their production, “Masked Canary.” A western themed, musical melodrama that will be showing May 4 & 5 at 7PM and May 6 at 3PM in the IVES multi-purpose room. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students / children.

If you have questions about any of the events mentioned above or on our school calendar don’t hesitate to call either Pam or Ryan at the office (284-7050).
